As a reminder to all employers in Arkansas, the Earned Wage Access Providers Act will be effective on June 18, 2025. This will impose substantive requirements on providers and sets up a financial services oversight regime for “as on-demand pay services,” which allows workers to access their earned but unpaid income before payday.

The act does not apply to corporations organized under banking, savings, and loans, or credit union laws.
